On steam, go to world of tanks BLITZ, only works with this version, and install it. I do this in an incongnito window to not mess with my current log in session. Then go to account management, click on steam on the right side and click unlink. Start by logging on/creating a wg account with your steam info. If you have never played a wg game from steam before, you can skip this step.
Make sure your current steam account is not linked to wargaming. unless you want to start over with a fresh account. However, as I said, for some reason, you can't go backwards, i.e. even though that would also mean that you would need to install the game twice on your hard drive (both the WGC version and the Steam version), which is a real waste of storage space and pointless, lol. Essentially, what this mean is that you would have two methods to log into the game, on one account, as long as you keep it linked to your Steam account AND register it at the official WoWs website. You can then come to the official WoWs website, register that pseudo-account, turn it into a properl WG account, and start using it also on the WGC. When you first log into the game through Steam, you'll be creating a brand new pseudo-account that comes automatically linked to your Steam account. To make playing World of Tanks Blitz even more enjoyable, every commander will receive 14 days of Premium Account for free. I don't know why, but that's just how it's been ever since WoWs first showed up on Steam. You can't take your existing WG account and use it on Steam.
